A Wild Camping Experience in the Heart of Nature
Welcome to our family-run campsite, a peaceful retreat nestled in the stunning Derbyshire countryside. Set on our smallholding, home to a herd of dairy cows, we offer a truly unique experience where you can get up close with our baby calves—giving them cuddles, soaking in their gentle nature, and enjoying the serenity they bring.
At the heart of our campsite is a love for wild camping—simple, natural, and unspoiled. We believe in keeping things basic but beautiful, with minimal facilities to preserve the tranquility of the surrounding woodland, river, and rolling countryside. If you’re looking to escape the modern world, reconnect with nature, and experience true peace, this is the place for you.
Two Unique Fields to Suit Your Stay
We offer two fields, each designed to provide a different camping experience:

The Adult Field – A secluded riverside paradise, surrounded by woodland and water. This is the perfect spot for those seeking complete tranquility, where you can unwind in nature’s embrace.

The Family Field – A safe and fenced-off area, set at a secure distance from the river but with easy access for little adventurers to explore. Kids can hunt for treasures like pottery, coal, sticks, and stones, and even enjoy an old rubber tyre swing!
Dog-Friendly Camping
We love dogs and welcome one dog per tent free of charge. Additional dogs can be brought along for a small fee. However, to ensure a peaceful and safe environment for everyone, dogs must be kept on a lead at all times, and owners must clean up immediately after their pets. There are plenty of accessible footpaths just outside the campsite gates for long, enjoyable dog walks.
Campsite Rules & Atmosphere
To maintain the peaceful, family-friendly atmosphere we cherish:
• Lights out & noise down by 10pm – We strictly enforce quiet time to preserve the serenity of the site.
• No large parties of young adults if families are present. Please contact us to discuss larger group bookings.
